GRAM wasn't born in 2026. It was written into TON's very first whitepaper in 2018 — the original name for the currency of a blockchain built to power Telegram's billion users. The SEC shut it down before it ever launched.

But the code never changed. For 8 years, deep inside TON's source files, every reference still said gram. The name disappeared from the brand — but survived in the bones of the blockchain.

Pavel didn't pivot. He didn't change direction. The world just finally caught up to what he always had in mind. GRAM was always the plan. Everything else was just the wait.
